#6MMRPC Week 2

Not a whole lot of progress this week. And very little of it gets picked up by the camera. I washed Ebonwrath down with purple ink over the black.

Kind of looks like a grape popsicle right now...

And this is a bones NOVA Corp Sgt. that I started for CaffineForge's Monday Miniature.

And standing next to one of the NOVA Corp troopers I painted way back when Bones I was first delivered.

I've also been working on casting up bricks for my dungeon display... which will go in my newly assembled DETOLF!

  2. Nicely done. I like how the light blue on the troopers looks. I feel mine might be a smidge dark. Strangely, I ended up doing some plaster casting this week as well....

    1. My original paint scheme was much darker, but it wasn't interesting to look at. The lighter blue helped a LOT! As did the touches of color.

What are you doing with your plaster castings?

    2. I'll get out pics eventually. My friend has some woodland scenic rock molds which are great for scatter terrain. He also had some revetments (vietnam era) that he had scratch built and then made molds. So I got a bunch of stuff.....enough that I'm wondering if I should count it as a(n accidental) joker. Ooops.

    3. I thought terrain didn't count! ;-)

    4. Ah, it appears you are correct. Seems like a pretty large loophole to drive your purchases through though. Hmmmm. Unpainted terrain is a sizeable fraction of my stuffs....

    5. Well... I think it's really up to you to decide what counts as a joker. So if terrain is your thing, count it! If I bought another Hirst Arts mold (and I want to) I'd count it.

  5. I'm interested to see how the purple wash on Ebonwrath (GrapesOfWrath?) works out. I've yet to tackle the figure, as I haven't yet found a suitable base for it.

Also, I really like how the Nova Corp figures look! They always reminded me of the Cobra Troopers from the old G.I. Joe cartoon, which is how I planned to paint them up. I'm glad to see they look good in blue!
