After more than a week of R&R, Wilhelm renews the contracts with his hirelings, and they head back to Stonehell...
The dungeon was remarkably quiet, and they make it past the great doors leading into the Quiet Halls. The body of the spider had mostly been stripped away, and only a few chitinous plates lay scattered about. The body in the web was still hanging up near the ceiling. It took some effort, but they dragged it down. Cutting open the webbing that it was wrapped in, they found the desiccated body of an albino like the ones they'd seen on level 2.
Heading back toward the crypts, the now experienced hirelings followed their standard practice of holding the doors shut as they went, and only letting out one or two monsters at a time. In spite of the fact that Wilhelm had been down this corridor before, the crypts were as restless as before. Zombies, skeletons, and a ghoul were all efficiently cut down form the first 4 crypts, and an impressive pile of loot recovered.
Getting out of the dungeon was equally as easy. Almost as if they were being given a wide berth...
